Avalon

Southern Cross by Crosby, Still, Nash & Young has the famous line.  "In a noisy bar in Avalon I tried to call you"
Well we are finally here and some calls have been made.  We had another beautiful sail of 4.5 kts in 9 kts of wind.  Dolphins were all around for almost the whole trip.  While enjoying our landing rums we happened to notice a familiar boat entering the harbor, s/v Letitgo has arrived.  We had met this lovely family at our marina in Point Roberts in the spring.  They are also heading to Mexico and we have been following their blog and wondering when we would be running into them again.  Off to shore we went and had a wonderful walk around town getting caught up and chatting about their adventures.
What can we say about Avalon. WOW!!  Love this place,  If I had discovered it when I was younger I'm sure that I would still be living here today.  For some reason it just seems so familiar and like home.  We may just stay a little bit longer before heading over to San Diego.
